Probably not much consolation, but this seems to be covered under bug http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=1715 I just tested it and it all worked fine. The bug suggests that maybe this is aero specific, but it worked in both aero and non aero modes for me. If you want, you could try chrome.exe --magic-browzr; that will change some of the UI logic and may (or may not) have effect. Sorry that is not working. That's the reason I uninstalled the beta. I would have thought it'd be fixed by now. Too bad, I was looking forward to switching over.
