I'm a huge fan of vista. I have it on my laptop (which Vista Home Premium came installed) and on my desktop (which I run Ultimate). My laptop was obviously designed for it, but on my Pentium 4 3.6 ghz I got in the beginning of 2005 I figured it wouldn't run that well. After being one of the beta testers for Vista in 2006 I was skeptical, it hardly ran on my machine. But I installed Ultimate in February 2007 and it runs perfectly! My computer is faster, more user friendly, and frankly the GUI is just awesome. Now, a lot of people I know were suprised when I said I liked Vista so I would ask them if they ever used it or even looked at it much. A lot of them ended up admitting they got most of their information from the Apple commercials! It's amazing that is where most of the bad press is coming from. Now granted, it's not perfect, but...I can't remember the last time my machine crashed and it's on a lot, like weeks at a time. So I guess I came on here to give my two cents on Vista and how much I really enjoy it. Even my Fiance's dad who is a diehard cult Apple guy installed it on his Apple and tried to hide how much he liked it, but he eventually admitted it!

At first, i disliked Vista, it crashed often giving me the BSOD (blue screen of death) all the time. But i figured out that it was a bios conflict. Once updated, Vista runs smoothly, updates everything, and works perfectly with my pc. I have Vista Ultimate installed and it ROCKS!

Awesome. I thought I was the only one out here that liked Vista. I have to admit it came on my new machine, meaning the thing was built for it, but it does everything I want it to, and is cool about it!
I have used everything in my time. MsDos, Win. 3.1, 95, 98. ME (ick!), 2000 and XP. Vista is clearly the best!
Glad to know others like it. Of course, you *are* better off if your computer was designed for it...

I completely agree with you. I believe that one reason why people end up hating Vista is that they install it on machines that are too old, too beaten up and can't handle the memory Vista requires. Mine is lightening fast and only sends me notifications at appropriate times, which is not that often.

Go Vista. I like you way more than I did XP.

Shocking as it may seem, I really like Vista too... I have it on my works laptop, both of my home systems, it runs my Media Center PC and I have it on my work PC too... Looking at all the Vista bashing that's going on, I figured I was the only one!

I like the fact that Vista asks me if I want to do something requiring admin privelidges, my XP system used to do the same when it came to network activities because my normal account had 0 admin privelidges, set up just how it's supposed to be :) Too many people are complaining about stuff that they were asking for in XP.

Anyway, minor rant over... Vista rules :)
